Commence the day at the well known Maho Sunset Bar where, if you are lucky, you will capture the famous St. Maarten airplane landing at your fingertips.

Next, on to French St. Martins,  Orient Bay Beach, offering never ending white sands and aqua blue waves rolling in at your feet. Nestled in the ocean’s arms of French St Martin, Orient Bay beach combines authentic Caribbean elements with European style. During your free time, bask in the sea and sun or treat yourself to a personal beach massage by a local vendor.

Thereafter off to Dutch St. Maarten for the experience of a lifetime!

Originating through colonialism and religion, the Caribbean Carnival ultimately marks the celebration of the end of slavery, allowing for open celebrations of native cultures and emancipation.

Carnival in St. Maarten, having grown into the Island’s largest attraction and world known festivity, is the ultimate celebration of life. It spreads and showcases a period of dance, laughter, culture, food and music in the streets.

The festival village is the epicenter of everything that occurs for Carnival. Being one of the first purposely built carnival venues in the region, The St. Maarten Festival Village’s uniqueness is like nothing else in the Caribbean. Similarly, to an old county fair, it is a large open square shaped venue, equipped with various booths, bars and stage for performances. There, locals sell delicacies and all enjoy evening concerts promoting soca and calypso bands.

Indulge your taste buds, in the multi cultured kitchens as you enjoy local snack of Johnny cakes and sate sticks at one of our favorite booths, taking in the savory smells from the grills and typical Caribbean design.

Join in the fun while watching the parade during free time. Marvel at the costumes of the oncoming revelers,  pose for photos with the locals in all their vibrant colors and feathers, whine your hips to the Soca beat while you enjoy the lavish annual parade.

Finally meet back at the bus for a refreshing water and transport back to the hotel.
